Guy Armitage - Author, 'Everyone is Creative'; Founder & CEO, Zealous

Guy Armitage has worn many hats (some quite badly). Through his diverse experiences he has evolved to fuse creativity, technology and business.

Guy hopes to unlock opportunities in the creative sector by simplifying the process of running calls to submissions through Zealous.

Most recently, Guy wrote 'Everyone is Creative: 7 Steps to Unlock your Creativity'. This ground-breaking book is filled with helpful tips, anecdotes and easy-to-follow advice to help you get started, maintain your motivation and keep your creativity flowing.

Prior to Zealous, Guy kept the London Stock Exchange open during the 7/7 bombings, founded a start-up in Egypt and studied artificial intelligence (it was so uncool at the time).

He had been voted the Guardian's Creative Entrepreneur of the Year, has discussed the potential of creativity at conferences and in Forbes, is a trustee of Firstsite (Art Fund's Museum of the Year in 2021) and is chair of digital art gallery arebyte. To scratch his creative itch he has made (a single piece of) digital art, which won the Tate Modern Hackathon in partnership with Ai Weiwei, takes still photos, has written and directed a (single) short film entitled Tech Support (which won no awards) and has featured (for a whopping six seconds) in Soulmate, a film by Axelle Carolyn.
