Peter Tullin

Co Founder, CultureLabel.com & REMIX Summits

A successful creative entrepreneur, Peter lives in Australia but was born in the UK in Newcastle. He is the Co-Founder of CultureLabel.com, a Venture Capital funded ecommerce site retailing art and design products from leading international culture brands including Tate, V&A and British Museum. Having grown the idea from scratch CultureLabel was successfully sold in 2014. 

Peter is passionate about the crossover where culture meets consumer culture and is co-author of the book Intelligent Naivety, designed to help entrepreneurs turn their ideas into reality. His second book REMIX was published by The Guardian and later became a series of leading global ideas conferences that explore the intersection of culture, technology and entrepreneurship. Attended by hundreds of global creative leaders each year, REMIX takes place in cities including Sydney, New York, London and Dubai. REMIX Summits have featured hundreds of innovators including NASA, Red Bull, MoMA, Mashable, YouTube, Cirque du Soleil, Buzzfeed, Spotify, The Metropolitan Museum, Virgin, V&A, Tate, Jamie Oliver Group and the Sydney Opera House. The mission of REMIX Summits is supported through long-term partnerships with leading technology and media companies including Google, Bloomberg, ABC, VICE and The Guardian. 

Through the REMIX agency he also works with cultural organisations and businesses on strategic visioning and planning. He most recently worked with the Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI) to develop ACMI X, a new co-working space designed to help creative entrepreneurs shaping the future of the moving image. He is currently working with the State Library of Victoria on a major new $88.1 million capital project to remodel the library resulting in the recent announcement of Start Space a new hub to support early stage entrepreneurs. Other clients include the Tate, Eventbrite, the Houses of Parliament, LVMH, School of Life, BFI, Skype and The Independent. Other significant projects include developing a vision for the $400 million Library of Birmingham project which opened recently and became one of the top 5 visited cultural institutions in the UK in its opening year.

In a previous life, Peter was a Director at Arts & Business, a national agency in the UK brokering sponsorships for leading cultural organisations and FTSE 100 companies. He has also worked at Google, helping to create their new Cultural Institute in Paris. Peter also made the Top 50 of the Courvoisier Future 500 Leaders and is a Clore Fellow. He sits on the Advisory Board of Creative Victoria.
