Pierre-Alain Giraud Writer & Director, 'Playing With Fire'; Immersive Director; Co-founder, Novaya
Pierre-Alain Giraud is a director of immersive experiences, documentaries, and fiction films. He is co-founder of Novaya, a company developing innovative mixed reality storytelling.
Playing with Fire, his mixed reality experience with virtuoso pianist Yuja Wang, produced by VIVE Arts and Atlas V opened at the Philharmonie de Paris in November 2025 and runs through May 2026, before traveling to London's Southbank Centre in fall 2026.
With Stéphane Foenkinos, he co-directed Noire (based on Tania de Montaigne), presented at Centre Pompidou, selected at Tribeca Festival, and awarded Best Immersive Experience at Cannes 2024.
In 2023, he co-directed with Gabríela Friðriksdóttir the music video Victimhood for Björk's album Fossora, featured in the Cornucopia 2 world tour. He has also directed two feature documentaries with Anne Brochet and collaborated with Arthur Nauzyciel and Valérie Mréjen for theater.
He holds a Master of Engineering from Arts et Métiers and a Master of Filmmaking from the London Film School, exploring the intersection of cinema, music, and immersive technologies.
