Aziz Isham is the Executive Director of Museum of the Moving Image (MoMI) since October, 2023. In the last year, attendance at the museum has doubled and the museum’s free and public programming has been transformed. In May 2024, MoMI launched “Open Worlds” – converting 1/3 of the museum into free community space for the exploration of stories, ideas and professional opportunities – from talks and workshops to screenings, immersive experiences, and more. For thousands of diverse New Yorkers, the museum has become the first place for hands-on encounters with creative technologies including VR, game design, AI, and more. He is the former Executive Director of Twenty Summers, an international festival of arts and social justice, and an award-winning film and tv producer.
