About the author
Peter Tullin is Co-Founder of REMIX Summits, which explores the future of the creative industries, creative places and the creative economy. It has been attended by thousands of creative leaders since 2012 and has taken place in cities including London, New York, Sydney, Istanbul and Dubai. Prior to REMIX, Peter was Co-Founder of CultureLabel.com, a venture-capital-funded e-commerce site selling art and design products from 500+ leading culture brands and artists including Tate, V&A and Guggenheim. Having grown the idea from scratch as one of the first websites to sell art online, CultureLabel was sold in 2014.
Co-author, Intelligent Naivety, a handbook helping creative entrepreneurs turn ideas into reality and the influential report The Immersive Revolution.
Through REMIX agency Peter has worked as a consultant for cultural organisations around the world such as the London Museum and Melbourne Arts Precinct redevelopments (trend scouting), ACMI (on the development of ACMI X), the State Library Victoria (on StartSpace; a hub to support early-stage entrepreneurs), Arte Museum (on growth strategy) and Fed Square (the Experience Lab). REMIX Agency recently developed and delivered the national Createch program for Creative Australia to support digital innovation and entrepreneurship and the cohorts have included a number of immersive experience startups.
He has also spent time at Google helping support the creation of the Google Cultural Institute in Paris. He is a Board member of Museums Victoria, Australia’s largest public museum and Geelong Arts Centre. He was formerly an Advisory Board member for Grande Experiences (The LUME) which has sold over 25 million tickets to immersive experiences in 200+ cities. He is also an Adviser to Arte Museum, a leading immersive experience company that have sold 11 million tickets across 7 permanent sites in locations across the US (New York, Las Vegas), UAE (Dubai), China and South Korea. They have also developed a touring experience with Musee D’Orsay.
Peter was a part of the Creative State Advisory Group in Victoria which supported the development and delivery of Victoria’s creative industries strategy. He is a member of the Courvoisier Future 500, a Clore Fellow and Senior Industry Fellow for RMIT.
Advisor and shareholder in emerging creative startups such as ethical payments provider ArtsPay, which has just processed its first billion dollars of payments and Iconic Moments (USA). Iconic Moments is a global pioneer in expanding the reach of cultural institutions and the arts via NFTs. Partners include Art Basel, the new Hip Hop Museum in New York and the Jackson Pollock Foundation and these digital releases have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars.
