Leyla Tahir Tate Collectives Producer, Tate Digital
Leyla Tahir is Tate Collectives Producer at Tate where she commissions and produces multiplatform digital content and manages Tate’s channels for young audiences. In this role she collaborates closely with Tate Collective, Tate’s resident young people who run free in-gallery and offsite events and projects for young people aged 15–25 to experiment, create and innovate with art and ideas across all four Tate sites.
Before joining the Digital team, Leyla worked on Tate’s Young People’s Programme in London delivering learning projects at Tate Britain and Tate Modern. From the age of 17, she was a member of Tate Collective London herself, as well as other youth-led arts projects including REcreative UK, an online community and resource for young people interested in the contemporary art world and the Louis Vuitton Young Arts Project, a creative and cultural collaboration between the brand and five leading art institutions in London.
She studied BA Criticism, Communication and Curation: Art and Design at Central Saint Martins.
