Martin Green CBE

Director, Eurovision Song Contest

Currently serving as Director of the Eurovision Song Contest at the European Broadcasting Union, Martin Green CBE leads the global delivery of the world’s biggest music show. The 2025 Contest in Basel was watched by 166 million people and generated 2 billion social media interactions.

Martin oversaw the 2023 BAFTA-winning edition in Liverpool, hosted on behalf of Ukraine. His impressive portfolio includes leading roles as Head of Ceremonies for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Director of Hull UK City of Culture 2017, and Chief Creative Officer for the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games and Unboxed: Creativity in the UK.

Martin’s track record is marked by a commitment to combining world-class artistic production with meaningful community engagement. He has previously served as Chair of Middle Child Theatre Company, advised the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games, and worked closely with cultural organisations and governments around the globe.
