Dawn Rodney

Senior Vice President, Brand Marketing, National Geographic Society

Dawn Rodney is Senior Vice President, Brand Marketing, with the National Geographic Society’s Communications team. She leads the creative, consumer insights, and brand marketing teams, and is responsible for developing and implementing awareness of National Geographic's global brand vision as well as building value for the brand by creating a relevant, cohesive identity that strengthens customer relationships and deepens engagement with its content, experiences, and science and exploration programs. Throughout her more than 26 years of experience, Rodney helped launch and brand multiple cable channels including Animal Planet, National Geographic Channel and Nat Geo WILD and has won numerous national and international awards for creative and brand campaigns, including an Emmy Award for National Geographic Channel’s “New Generation Explorers” campaign. She studied journalism at Duquesne University and is a fellow of the Betsy Magness Leadership Institute.
