Bree Pickering is Director of the Murray Art Museum Albury, a three-year-old art museum in regional Australia. Previously, Bree was the Executive Director of Vox Populi in Philadelphia, one of the USA’s longest-running experimental artist-run spaces.

Bree is an institutional soul searcher. She focusses on how the organisations she leads define themselves in relation to the communities they serve. Bree is also committed to adjusting organisational structures to support a range of voices so that the institution is always better known than its Director.

Bree has a background in curating (if asking artists to do whatever what they want counts as curating).
