Adrianne Pecotic is principal consultant and Managing Director of The Content Business.
Adrianne has worked in the screen industries for over 25 years with experience across production, distribution, broadcasting, exhibition, retail and online, rights management and government policy. She is an executive producer, business advisor, industry advocate and experienced mentor. She founded The Content Business to bring together experts with the passion, experience and commitment to help build globally competitive screen businesses in Australia.
Adrianne is passionate about promoting Australian content and creative control while making programs available to international audiences. This passion stems from a deep understanding of the inherent risks and opportunities involved in production and distribution gleaned during her long-standing career working with Reg Grundy and his executive team. Adrianne was the founding Executive Director of the Australian Federation Against Copyright Theft. Working with all the major film studios, exhibitors and rental/retailers she established the Intellectual Property Awareness Foundation in 2009. From 1998 to 2004 Adrianne was Television Division Counsellor for the Screen Producers Association of Australia [SPAA].
Adrianne is an experienced executive, a qualified lawyer and company director. She has received several awards for her work from the Motion Picture Association, and was the 2004 recipient of the SPAA Maura Fay Award for Services to the Industry for her work at Grundy and SPAA.
