Pete Ceglinski - CEO & Co-Founder, Seabin

Pete has been around the ocean his entire life and enjoyed surfing his way around the globe which has led to his passion for protecting it.

With a background in product design combined with ten years of boat building for high end racing yacht teams, the switch to developing innovative clean-tech that creates much needed data, monitors water quality and cleans the oceans has proved invaluable, and has now evolved from an innovative technology to a data led business model scaling from city to city and recognised by the United Nations Environment Programme.

Pete was recognised in the Top 100 Australian Innovators of 2022, making the top 10. Along with innovative business development and strategy, Pete is heavily involved in the marketing, technical design and development of the Seabin IP and brand.

The ultimate goal for Pete and his staff of 22, is to “have pollution free oceans for our future generations”.

The new business model is focused on creating employment across various sectors, activating global communities and supporting future cities, 100 cities by 2050 to be more exact. Seabin are now working to optimise the business model, technology and scaling operations globally.

The new model launched in Sydney, July 2020, is now operational in LA, with more cities to be announced soon.
