Damian Totman - Global Creative Director, Bloomberg

Damian started his career in graphic design, making posters for scrawny rock stars in Sydney. He worked as an art director for lots of agencies in Australia and Asia before moving to NY. He has led and implemented campaigns and creative projects for powerful brands such as HSBC, Smirnoff, Shell and The Diamond Trading Company. Damian left big agency life and set up his own studio, focused on fashion and luxury and worked on clients like Ralph Lauren for 5 years.  Since 2012, Damian has built and led a global creative shop inside Bloomberg LP — a diverse team of designers, writers and creators, who embrace the constant change of the media landscape.

Monique Potts - Deputy Director, Innovation and Creative Intelligence Unit, UTS

Monique is the Deputy Director of the Innovation and Creative Intelligence Unit at the University of Technology Sydney. In this role Monique is working with a dynamic team to pilot and prototype new approaches to teaching, learning, research and industry engagement across UTS. Monique is leading and shaping key strategic initiatives for UTS including the Hatchery and Hatchery+ pre-incubator program and the Innovation and Creative Intelligence Labs. Monique has been involved in forming and driving a  4 year Innovation and Creative Intelligence Strategy across UTS.  

With a long history in digital education and digital media Monique has worked in a range of organisations and startup companies to drive change through enabling cross-functional teams to drive innovation and change through creative collaboration. Monique worked for 12 years at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) initially as a Community Manager in the New Media division developing online interactivity and industry engagement, then for 5 years as a Senior Producer and Program Director in the Innovation division. During her time at the ABC Monique drove strategic initiatives including user generated content, online audience interaction, ABC Open Archives and incorporating emerging technologies and ABC Splash education portal.

Bem Le Hunte - Associate Professor & Course Director, Bachelor of Creative Intelligence and Innovation, UTS

Associate Professor Bem Le Hunte is the Course Director of the Bachelor of Creative Intelligence and Innovation, at UTS. She has a BA and MA in Social Anthropology and a Doctorate in Creative Writing, as well as professional qualifications in journalism and advertising. 

She has worked in the creative industries as a creative director, brand strategist and writer, as well as worked on start-ups. Her latest is www.wutheringink.com, a portal designed to connect readers and writers internationally in the new publishing landscape. 

Bem has been published globally to critical acclaim and written scripts for documentaries and film. She is currently writing her fourth novel and has a research interest in creative pedagogies, as well as cross-media innovation and storytelling.
