Rick reveals how the new British Games Institute is addressing endemic challenges in access to finance and skills, in cultural recognition and workforce diversity, and will share innovative approaches towards running the new National Videogame Museum in Sheffield as well as developing new formats in collaboration with other organisations.

Rick leads the BGI (British Games Institute), a new national agency for games culture based in Nottingham formed from the merger of the BGI campaign and the National Videogame Foundation (which includes the UK's only playable museum). A games and digital strategist for 20 years, with commercial, consultancy, policy, management and start-up skills, Rick has advised over 100 games, media and finance companies on where the commercial opportunities lie in games/gamification and how best to exploit them.
