Susan Carroll is the Acting Director of Policy & Strategy at Arts NSW. She is responsible for leading the development and implementation of the NSW Government’s arts and cultural policy, Create in NSW. She is also responsible for stakeholder engagement, whole of Government co-ordination, strategic initiative development, communications and media. Susan has a professional background across Government, Law and the Arts with experience across the public, private and community sectors. With central and line agency roles across the NSW and Commonwealth Governments, Susan has expertise in strategy, policy, and inter-governmental engagement at the state, national and international levels.

Susan has a Masters degree in international relations together with Bachelor degrees in Law and the Arts with a focus on cultural study. Susan is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, has served on the Board of an arts organisation and led Protocol for a key festival.
