Peter McMahon is Director – Digital, Communications and Media at the State Library Victoria. He has worked in a range of traditional media, and has held senior digital, marketing and executive roles across sectors as diverse as online gambling and entertainment, online media, trade union advocacy and online education.  

Passionate about the critical role of libraries in a world where information is everywhere but understanding is scant, he is responsible for the library’s digital reinvention and for the use of emerging digital technologies to deliver new experiences in very un-library ways.
