Peter Florence is the Director of the Hay Festivals and a Director of Hay Castle Trust.  He was educated at the Sorbonne and Cambridge University, and holds honorary doctorates from The Open University and Glamorgan University.  He is a Fellow of Cardiff University, the University of Bangor, The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, Hereford Art College. He is a Friend of Oxfam and the co-editor of the anthologies OxTales, OxTravels and OxCrimes.
