Nick Jankel Founder, Ripe & Ready
Nick Seneca Jankel is a creative media entrepreneur and world-renowned innovation, brand and leadership expert. Tesco PLC called him ‘a compass and a Gale Force 9 wind’. He combines this with his role as Cambridge-educated psychological coach, wisdom teacher and transformational TV presenter for which The Sunday Times called him a ‘glam spiritual activist’.
Nick started his first company, a creative agency, aged 25 after a couple of years working as a creative strategist with PlayStation at TBWA Chiat/Day. Running his own solution-neutral ideas company, he developed the global launch positioning of Xbox; worked with Smirnoff to capture a new brand ethos and deliver responsible marketing worldwide; and led an audience-led innovation process with the BBC to create Dancing with Stars, the most successful TV show of all time. He is currently pioneering Ripe & Ready Media (www.ripeandready.com), a global wisdom and wellbeing community & creative studio with a mission: To develop experiences, content and tools using state-of-the-art media co-created with progressive brands and next-gen wisdom talent, that enable the digital generations, and our world, to thrive.
Nick has starred as a psychological coach in a 4-part BBC TV series; coached a major celebrity on an MTV show; and helped design, build and host the three-year mental wellbeing experience for the BBC (co-presrmning with Kelly Osbourne). Nick has advised government bodies (including No. 10 Downing St, BIS and the NHS), Fortune 500 and FTSE 100 companies (including Intel, Nike, Microsoft, Kraft, Fujitsu, Unilever, and Disney), written for newspapers (including the Guardian and the Financial Times) and is a popular keynote speaker all over the world. He has a Triple First from Cambridge University and is a lifelong raver, semi-retired DJ and serial (now ethical) entrepreneur. He teaches social entrepreneurs and change-makers on four continents. He now hosts dance parties in the living room of his Sussex home for his wife and kids.
