Matthew Cameron-Smith CEO, Voyages Indigenous Tourism Australia - 'Field of Light' & 'Wintjiri Wiru', Uluru

In August 2020, Matthew Cameron-Smith commenced as CEO of Voyages Indigenous Tourism Australia which oversees Ayers Rock Resort at Uluru and Mossman Gorge Cultural Centre in the Daintree Rainforest.
During the last few years, he has overseen the opening of the Gallery of Central Australia and the 2023 launch of the spectacular Wintjiri Wiru light, sound and drone experience, Sunrise Journeys immersive Indigenous light show experience and Australian Native High Tea. He is also a passionate supporter of cultural sustainability through the company’s National Indigenous Training Academy.
With over 33 years in the tourism and hospitality industry Matthew has an extensive background in national and international tourism, joining Voyages from The Travel Corporation, where he led the Trafalgar Guided Holidays brand as well as being Global CEO of AAT Kings.
He has also held global roles with Rydges Hotels & Resorts and Tourism Australia - promoting the country in the UK and Europe markets.
Matthew is Chair and director of Ultimate Winery Experiences of Australia which promotes wine tourism in Australia, a director of the Anangu Communities Foundation which raises money for local Indigenous communities in critical areas such as health and education and is a board member of the Torrens University of Australia, Hospitality Industry Advisory Board.
