Dr. Lee Bofkin is the Co-Founder and CEO of Global Street Art, Europe’s largest hand-painted advertising and mural painting organisation, which creates incredible murals for brands, developers and community initiatives. Global Street Art, today, has offices in London, Paris, Madrid and Brussels.

Aside from the hundreds of commercial projects delivered every year, Global Street Art has worked with an incredible network of artists to produce over 3,000 pure art murals for communities across London.

Global Street Art also founded London Mural Festival in Autumn 2020, returning in September 2024. The 2024 edition saw the creation of over 140 new murals across 10 London Boroughs, over 80 of which were in housing estates.

Holding a PhD in Evolutionary Mathematics from the University of Cambridge, Lee is also a former UK bboy (breakdancer). After science, Lee had a brief stint in finance (which he sucked at).

In the past two years Lee built the Gallery, a superb museum tracking creativity over the past 150 years with over 100,000 objects therein, inside Global Street Art’s headquarters in Old Street, East London.
