Kate Russell Strategic Accounts Director, Blippar

Kate Russell is a seasoned media professional and entrepreneur. She co-founded an international photography agency, The Cover Story, that represented the work of over 300 photo-journalists to clients and publishers in 60 countries. Kate successfully established Corbis (US) in the Netherlands, one of the world’s largest photo and footage archives owned by Bill Gates.

For NewsLifeMedia Australia (News Corporation) she was responsible for the international syndication of titles such as Vogue, GQ and Vogue Living and executive managed their in-house photo studio. It was via Remix that Kate encountered augmented reality and image recognition technology and embraced the opportunities it presented to enrich consumer experiences and generate new revenue streams. She subsequently worked with one of the pioneer companies in augmented reality technology. Kate is currently Strategic Accounts Director for the world's leading Visual Search and interactive print platform Blippar where she guides clients to create valuable content experiences for their audiences.
