Helen Slater is Principal & CEO of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, leading one of the world’s foremost academies of dramatic art through a period of renewal and growth. Her experience spans creative, cultural and commercial leadership, with a focus on how people and organisations adapt, collaborate and thrive. At RADA she has led a programme of academic renewal, including new postgraduate courses and the launch of RADA Residencies. Under her leadership, RADA’s commercial education has continued to grow, bringing its distinctive approach to performance, communication and leadership to thousands of lifelong learners. Helen’s career spans higher education and major cultural organisations, including Southbank Centre, Intermusica Artists Management, Royal Court Theatre, M&C Saatchi Arts and frieze. She is a trustee of Villiers Park Education Trust, the national social mobility charity.
