Heather Corcoran is Executive Director of Rhizome, a leading organisation for contemporary art and technology, based online and at the New Museum, New York. She comes to Rhizome from the artist film commissioning agency, Film and Video Umbrella, London, where she served as Deputy Director, and was previously Curator at FACT, the UK’s leading centre for new media. She has held positions at various contemporary art and technology organisations in the UK and North America, including Interaccess Electronic Media Arts, SPACE, the Barbican Centre, AND Festival and the 2010 Liverpool Biennial, where she was contributing Curator.
