Hannah Redler Hawes

Director of Data as Culture, Open Data Institute

Hannah Redler-Hawes is a UK-based curator known for her pioneering work in arts-led interdisciplinary and digital projects. Alongside her role as Director of Data as Culture at the Open Data Institute (ODI) her independent practice convenes outstanding artists, scientists, technologists, experts by experience and world-class organisations to curate award-winning new artworks, exhibitions, programmes, research projects and events across art, science and technology, including in emerging fields of data and AI.

Hannah’s work recognises the essential roles artists, researchers, educators and activists have in imagining alternative modes or spaces for people and other living beings and finding ways for ethical and equitable practices to take hold.Organisations she has developed projects with include Tate, The V&A, Kunst Leuven, FACT Liverpool, Science Museum, Oxford University, National Portrait Gallery, King’s College London, the Royal Astronomical Society, Sotheby’s Institute of Art and the Institute of Physics.
