George Fertitta

CEO, Bloomberg Associates

On January 1, 2014, Fertitta became the CEO of Bloomberg Associates, an international consulting firm founded by Michael R. Bloomberg as a philanthropic venture to help city governments improve the quality of life of their citizens. Led by a team of globally renowned industry experts, Bloomberg Associates delivers guidance, mentorship and actionable insights across multiple disciplines—collaborating with cities to develop best practices, build consensus and foster relationships.

Prior to joining Bloomberg Associates, Fertitta was CEO of NYC & Company—the city’s marketing and tourism organization—from June 2006 to December 2013. Under his leadership, NYC tourism saw unprecedented growth with a record 52 million visitors generating over $55 billion in economic impact and employing over 363,000 hospitality and leisure workers.

Before entering the public sector, Fertitta was the founder and chairman of, Margeotes/Fertitta, Inc., a $500 million NYC-based marketing/advertising agency which he sold to an international conglomerate in 2005.
