Ged Matthews Freelance Placemaking Creative Producer

Ged works with a broad range of organisations and agencies, growing collaborations and projects that give locations a unique sense of place. He is a Creative Producer and Project Manager at award-winning placemaking agency Produce UK - working with clients such as British Land and Wembley Park to develop creative meanwhile use of temporary urban spaces.
He has been working in the King's Cross development since 2011, first as Creative Producer at Central Saint Martins college, then as a freelance consultant and project manager with pioneering developer Argent LLP, working with the team to humanise new public spaces and attract a diverse range of people.
Ged also works across the UK; over the summer he worked with the Department for Digital, Culture, Media + Sport on the Great Exhibition of The North - connecting organisations and initiatives across the whole North – and will begin working on the 2019 Festival Thrift (the national celebration of sustainable living) in the Tees Valley, linking the renewable energy industry with grassroots initiatives.
