Drew Ferors

Head of Innovation and Training, TDC - projects inc. Frida Kahlo & BBC Earth exhibitions, Dorian Gray, City of Sydney's New Year's Eve Celebrations, theatrical productions inc. Harry Potter, Frozen, Tina, multiple Vivid Sydney activations

Drew is one of the most innovative and experienced technical minds in Australian event production, with over two decades in video technology and more than 15 years as a driving force within TDC.

As a forward-thinking technologist and creative problem-solver, Drew leads the initiatives that position TDC at the forefront of immersive and large-scale technical delivery. His portfolio is a testament to both his versatility and his ambition — spanning landmark installations including the Big Top at Luna Park, the Frida Kahlo and BBC Earth exhibitions, and City of Sydney's New Year's Eve Celebrations, through to major theatrical productions including Harry Potter, Frozen, Tina, and Dorian Gray, and multiple Vivid Sydney activations.

Drew's capacity for innovation extends beyond delivery into product development. He was the architect of TDC's proprietary LiveView product range — a suite of automation, monitoring, and gaming solutions that reflect his instinct for identifying where technology can solve problems that don't yet have an industry answer. His expertise also spans VR and extended reality technologies, as well as complex TV and broadcast installations.

Equally committed to the future of the industry as he is to its present, Drew delivers TDC’s technology program at (NIDA) National Institute of Dramatic Art, delivering specialist video technology education to the next generation of production professionals lecturing as part of NIDA's formal video program.

From mission-critical system design to shaping industry talent, Drew brings an exceptional combination of technical mastery, creative vision, and genuine leadership to every project he undertakes.

From designing mission-critical systems to mentoring the next generation of talent, Drew continues to shape the future of event production through innovation, education, and hands-on leadership.
