David Strong Founder, Museum of Desire, Higher Order, Co-Producer, Otherworld

David is a Consultant, Director, Producer, Strategist and Entrepreneur in culture, entertainment and the arts, with a speciality in activating public and commercial spaces. As a consultant David works with some of Australia’s largest organisations and developers including Chadstone, The AFL, Melbourne Racing Club, Beaulah, Melbourne Central, local governments and tourism bodies to develop new culture and entertainment concepts. David works on creative development, business modelling, marketing and trend analysis, curation and producing.
His particular interest is in cross pollinating and blending art forms and genres to create new ideas and bring different audiences together. In recent years David has been producing and creating immersive arts and entertainment experiences which as a producer allows David to explore cross artforms.
As an entrepreneur David’s most recent venture is as the co-founder of the Museum of Desire, an interactive immersive museum in Melbourne. He is also a co-producer of Otherworld and immersive digital gallery in Byron Bay and co-developed Higher Order a unique immersive dining experience that had a two-month season for international developers Beulah.
David is Director of District Agency which specialises in consulting, strategy and producing events, public space concepts and brand activations. District Agency’s past clients include names such as the AO, Spotify, CUB and World Vision.Over his 30-year career, David has also developed a range of festivals including The Peninsula Picnic (Music and Food), Gourmet Cinema, Whisky, Wine and Fire, Super Bloom (Wellbeing Festival) and The Lost Lands (Family Camping Music Festival). Early in his career David was Director of Stkilda Festival - Australia’s largest outdoor annual street festival.
