David Gilbert (Chair) has had a long and successful career in the retail sector. He has proven experience at delivering significant growth and shareholder returns during his time as MD at Curry's Ltd and Waterstones Booksellers. Currently he is also Chairman of CultureLabel.com, and SohoCreate, Festival of the Creative Industries in Soho. He is also advisor to Octopus EIS Investments and has chaired companies in the Private Equity sector. David was a board member of ArtCo Trading Ltd for 7 years prior to his appointment as Chair of Creative United. He is Trustee and Chair of the Finance Committee at the Contemporary Arts Society, sits on the Commercial Board at the Whitechapel Gallery, and the Longplayer Trust. He also advises the Imperial War Museum on the curation of the new Second World War galleries.
