Blair Parkin Chief Experience Development Officer, Eden Project (UK)

Originally trained in technical theatre arts, Blair focuses on building value in the cultural sector supporting creation of new institutions, never been done before projects, as well as socially and environmentally sensitive projects at scale.
Based in Brighton, UK with a track record of working worldwide, his experience ranges from some of the earliest virtual reality patents (in the 1990s) to leading creation and build of high impact cultural venues worldwide.
Over the last three decades Blair has collaborated closely with cities, regions and central government bodies on planning and developing cultural projects at scale in locations ranging from Athens, Beijing, Miami, Seattle to Dubai and South Africa.
These include multiple world Expos, cultural Olympic projects; the Gilder and Rose Centers for Earth & Space at the American Museum of Natural History, New York; the award winning 2008 California Academy of Sciences, San Francisco; and most recently the design and creation of multiple new Eden Project sites around the world. Blair now serves as an Eden Project International Ambassador and non-exec as well providing independent advice on the inception, planning for success and early development stages of high impact and large-scale cultural projects.
From 2020 to 2025 Blair served as Eden's Chief Experience Development Officer developing new sites in China, Scotland and northwest England, new exhibitions and living collection displays. Blair now serves as an Eden Project International Ambassador and non-exec as well providing independent advice on the inception, planning for success and early development stages of high impact and large-scale cultural projects.
