Alicia Darvall Executive Director, B Lab (B Corp)
Alicia has over 15 years’ experience in senior roles for fast-growing, high-profile businesses and organisations. She has an established track record of successfully founding and managing business for the commercial and not-for-profit sectors. Alicia provides strategic support to entrepreneurs, assisting them to build on their values; engage with community and stakeholders and focus on measuring their impact.
Alicia is currently Executive Director of B Lab Australia & New Zealand. In this role in she is building a community of purpose-driven businesses that are Certified B Corporation, companies held to a higher standard of social and environmental performance, accountability and transparency.
B Lab is serving a global movement of entrepreneurs using the power of business to solve social and environmental problems. B Lab does this with several initiatives that help businesses attract customers, talent and capital to scale.
Alicia has held senior roles in a range of businesses including Moonlight Cinema, Melbourne Fringe Festival and Melbourne Fashion Festival. Her past roles have involved working with Gordon Ramsay Holdings, Village Roadshow, Right Angle Studio and Social Traders.
Alicia is a member of the B Lab Global Governance Council and Deputy Chair of the Stella Prize. She also sits on the Guardian Sustainable Business Advisory Council and is currently undertaking the 2016 Williamson Community Leadership Program at Leadership Victoria.
Alicia holds a Masters of Management, Deakin University and a Bachelors Social Science (Environmental Policy) from RMIT University.
