Josh Rubin - Editor-in-Chief & Founder at Cool Hunting

As an interaction designer, Josh Rubin launched Cool Hunting in 2003 where he currently holds the title of Editor in Chief. What began as a catalogue of inspiration and well-executed ideas has grown into a Webby Award-winning online publication with a global team of editors and contributors sifting through innovations in design, technology, art and culture every day. Josh is also responsible for the design of coolhunting.com and the Cool Hunting iOS apps, as well as the distribution through social media and content partnerships. In 2007 he helped launch Largetail—a studio that creates original content for brands and distributes it through niche publishers—where he serves as the Executive Creative Director.

Prior to creating Cool Hunting, Josh helped to found the digital consultancy Bond Art + Science, was a Lead User Interface Designer at Motorola, a Design Director at Razorfish, in charge of product development at Upoc Networks and an intern at IDEO. Beyond Cool Hunting and Largetail, Josh consults on strategy, content and design for select clients including Apple, Nike, BMW and others. He is a frequent speaker at conferences talking about the way technology, creativity and design shape the future of the web and consumer behavior.

He has a BA in Communications and Cognitive Science from Hampshire College and a Master's in Interactive Telecommunications from NYU.
