Dr Kylie Boltin - Associate Professor, Screen & Media, Edith Cowan University - internationally recognized, multiple Walkley award-winning producer in Innovation & Digital Storytelling
Kylie Boltin is an internationally recognized, multiple Walkley award-winning producer in Innovation and Digital Storytelling, as well as a NSW Literary Award-winning screenwriter. She currently teaches storytelling for the screen at the West Australian Screen Academy. Her research focusses on innovative and inclusive storytelling techniques and practices including co-creation and co-design, across multiple platforms.
Kylie was a commissioning editor and executive producer at the national multicultural broadcaster SBS for eight years where she led a wide range of high-impact digital innovation projects. Kylie also worked as part of the NITV commissioning team across documentary features and TV series. Her work has screened widely in competition including at SXSW, Austin TX and the International Documentary Festival Amsterdam (IDFA) where she most recently led the team awarded the IDFA Creative Technology Award.
