Miriam Capper - Experience Developer, Museums Victoria (Melbourne Museum, Scienceworks & Immigration Museum)

Miriam is an Experience Developer at Museums Victoria, Australia’s largest public museum network.

Her recent work, Tyama, blends the physical and digital in an immersive storytelling journey through the perspectives of creatures from the State Collections. Combining First People’s knowledge and embodied learning techniques, visitors interact with real time interactive projections to inspire a deeper appreciation for the natural world.

Prior to MV, Miriam worked in both that arts and sciences. Her experience in film and theatre led her to immersive theatre design, crafting immersive story worlds for six years in her role as Ass. Creative Director at Secret Squirrel Productions. A published psychological researcher and science communicator, Miriam is a recipient of the APA’s Psychologists for Peace Award and coordinated Nerd Nite Sydney, a monthly event combining talks from experts and comedy.

Miriam uses her psychological and theatrical knowledge to craft engaging experiences that inspire change and interrogate life’s big questions.
