The Guardian is bringing their first virtual reality project ‘6×9’ to REMIX Sydney for attendees to experience. 6×9 places viewers in a virtual solitary confinement cell, telling a story of the psychological damage that extreme isolation can cause. An estimated 80,000 people are currently in solitary confinement in the US. They spend 22-24 hours a day in their cells, with little to no human contact for days or even decades.

Located in the REMIX Ideas Brewery, ‘6×9’ can be experienced on June 2.
