Peter Tullin

Co Founder, REMIX Summits & CultureLabel.com

A successful creative entrepreneur originally from the UK, Peter now lives in Australia. He is the Co-Founder of CultureLabel.com, a Venture Capital funded ecommerce site retailing art and design products from leading international culture brands including Tate, V&A and British Museum. Having grown the idea from scratch CultureLabel was successfully sold in 2014.

Peter's work explores the future of the creative industries and he is co-author of the book Intelligent Naivety, designed to help creative entrepreneurs turn their ideas into reality. His second book REMIX was published by The Guardian and later became a series of leading global ideas conferences that explore the intersection of culture, technology and entrepreneurship. Attended by hundreds of global creative leaders each year, REMIX has taken place in cities including Sydney, New York, London, Istanbul and Dubai. REMIX Summits have featured hundreds of innovators including NASA, Red Bull, MoMA, Burning Man, YouTube, Cirque du Soleil, Buzzfeed, Spotify, The Metropolitan Museum, Virgin, V&A and the Sydney Opera House. The mission of REMIX Summits is supported through long-term partnerships with leading technology and media companies including Google, Bloomberg, Microsoft, ABC, VICE, Time Out and The Guardian.

Through the REMIX agency he also works with cultural organisations and businesses on strategic visioning and planning. He most recently worked with the Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI) to develop ACMI X, a new co-working space designed to help creative entrepreneurs shaping the future of the moving image. He is currently working with the State Library of Victoria on a major new $88.1 million capital project to remodel the library which will include Start Space a new hub to support early stage entrepreneurs. He also worked on the development of Foundry658, an accelerator to support the creative industries. Other clients include the Tate, Eventbrite, the Houses of Parliament, LVMH, School of Life, BFI, Skype and The Independent. Other significant projects include developing a vision for the new $400 million Library of Birmingham which became one of the top 5 visited cultural institutions in the UK in its opening year.

In a previous life, Peter was a Director at Arts & Business, a national agency in the UK brokering sponsorships for leading cultural organisations and FTSE 100 companies. He has also worked at Google, helping to create their new Cultural Institute in Paris. Peter also made the Top 50 of the Courvoisier Future 500 Leaders and is a Clore Fellow. He is a board member of Museums Victoria, Australia's largest public museums organisation incorporating Melbourne Museum, Scienceworks and the Immigration Museum. He is a Trust Member of Geelong Arts Centre which is currently undergoing a $167 million redevelopment and he also sits on the Creative Industries Advisory Group for Creative Victoria.
