Co-Founder, REMIX Summits: an influential conference series exploring the future of the creative industries with nearly 3,000 global annual attendees. REMIX takes place in cities including London, New York, Sydney, Singapore, Istanbul and Dubai and also incorporates REMIX Academy a digital learning platform sponsored by Microsoft. Other REMIX Partners have included Bloomberg, Google, The Guardian, Etsy, Samsung, VICE, ABC and Time Out.

Board Member, Museums Victoria: Australia’s largest public museum organisation includes Melbourne Museum, Scienceworks and The Immigration Museum. We have been creating knowledge, entertaining visitors and building the State Collection since 1854. The collection is an invaluable record of Victoria’s environmental and cultural history, and our amazing wealth of over 17 million items has been inspiring a sense of wonder and awe in visitors for generations.

Board Member, The Lume / Grande Experiences: Member of the Grande Experiences Advisory Board. 23 million people and counting have visited over 250+ experiences in over 180 cities produced by the team at Grande. The company comprises permanent venues such as The LUME in Australia and the US alongside multiple touring experiences and Museo Leonardo da Vinci in Rome.

Board Member, Geelong Arts Centre: Trustee at Geelong Arts Centre, one of a group of state-owned cultural agencies including Victorian Arts Centre, Museum Victoria, National Gallery of Victoria, State Library of Victoria, Australian Centre for Moving Image and Film Victoria. Geelong Arts Centre has recently completed a major $178.5 million redevelopment and is now the largest regional arts centre in Australia.

Co-Founder, REMIX Agency: Peter has developed strategies, programs and innovation projects for clients around the globe including Arts Council England, the British Council, Tate and the National Gallery, London.

Notable projects include the development of the concept and operational plan for StartSpace, a new hub to support early-stage entrepreneurs (opened as part of a major new $88.1 million capital project to remodel State Library of Victoria one of the most visited libraries in the world), also working with the library team to develop and secure funding for Foundry658, Victoria’s first accelerator to support the creative industries (funded by Creative Victoria). See article in the AFR for further information.

Alchemy – a project designed to create new experiences at State Library Victoria through collaborations with leading experience designers across Victoria. A key objective was to develop business models that would make these sustainable rather than one-off projects providing mentoring to each of the 14 selected participants. Ideas supported included gamifying the library by one of Australia’s leading escape room designers, virtual and immersive storytelling encounters, engaging new audiences through a content series that will be developed by one of Australian TikTok influencers with 350,000 subscribers, experiential dining and new approaches to visitor tour formats. Alchemy received coverage in The Age and many other media sources.

The Experience Lab – the success of Alchemy has led to a new edition of the model (this time for Fed Square under the name ‘The Experience Lab’) where Peter is acting as an Entrepreneur-in-residence providing mentoring to the successful applicants.

ACMI X – led on the development of the concept and strategy for ACMI X, a new co-working space for creative tech entrepreneurs, the first co-working space inside a cultural institution in Australia. This project received extensive national media coverage

Melbourne Arts Precinct (MAPCO) – Trend report and recommendations for the new $1.7 billion Melbourne Arts Precinct (the largest cultural infrastructure project in Australia’s history) covering a number of areas including the future of public spaces, experience economy and F&B/Hospitality.

Co-Founder, CultureLabel.com: When it was founded in 2009, CultureLabel was the first major ecommerce site to sell art online. It officially sold art and design products from over 500 leading culture brands and artists including Tate, V&A and the Guggenheim. The CultureLabel platform also provided exclusive e-commerce services for Saatchi Gallery, ICA and 80+ other leading  galleries through a major project with the UK Government allowing customers to buy art online through staged interest free payments. It was featured in hundreds of media articles and was named by Design Week as one of the Top 50 UK influences in web design. Reviews included: “A one stop shop for creative commerce” (The Wall Street Journal); “An emporium of desirables” (Vogue); “An aggregator for the arts… One to watch” (Wired). Its success and growth saw CultureLabel raise venture capital funding and it was later sold in 2014.

Senior Industry Fellow, RMIT University: RMIT University’s Centre for Future Skills and Workforce Transformation has a FORWARD fellowship. Its focus is building an innovative learning ecosystem at scale, creating new collaborative applied research and inventing next-generation skills solutions that will catalyze workforce development in the future-oriented industries.

Co-Founder, The Experience Consortium: a collective of seasoned industry consultants helping to create and advise on the experiences of tomorrow. Company founders also include the Co-Founder of Immersive Cinema & Director of Hamilton Group (awarded the Best Urban Renewal Project in Australia 2022, at the UDIA National Awards, for the Pivot City Innovation Precinct in Geelong); and the Founder of Grumpy Sailor (experience design agency with clients inc. Google Creative Lab, Punchdrunk, ACMI and the Royal Shakespeare Company). More information here.

Advisor, ArtsPay: ArtsPay is a new payment processing company with a difference. Unlike other payment processing companies, every time a customer makes a purchase using ArtsPay – either in-store or online – ArtsPay uses the payment fees of every transaction to help support the arts, via the ArtsPay Foundation. The ArtsPay Foundation is an independent, artist-led Foundation that plans to support independent artists and arts organisations across Australia with the potential to generate millions of dollars of funding for the artists and arts workers if we meet our ambitious targets.
